The Asset Triple A Country Awards 2009, Asean

20 Nov 2009 by The Asset

The global crisis may have enveloped markets in the West, but in Asia, activity soon picked up. Surprisingly, capital market activity even in the Asean region has also matched that in North Asia. Rights issues, convertible bonds, local currency bonds and even high-yield offerings came to the fore especially after the summer.

Bankers were pleasantly surprised that issuers were keen to do deals. Part of the reason, of course, has been the more sanguine environment after March 2009. But the markets overall have remained choppy with the windows for issuance opening and then closing fairly quickly.

Today, in part two of our tenth annual The Asset Triple A Country Awards 2009, we present the winners in the Asean region covering Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. For full details, please click here.
