UBS has hired Shaun Treacy as managing director and co-head of the All Industries Group (AIG) in Asia.
Treacy joins from Nomura, where he was global co-head of natural resources and power as well as chairman of corporate finance, Asia Pacific ex-Japan. Before re-locating to Hong Kong in January 2011, he was global co-head of natural resources and power in London. He joined Nomura in 2008 following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers where he was global head of metals and mining also based in London. Before that, he worked for J.P. Morgan in Melbourne and London where he was head of the metals and mining advisory group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Among the sectors comprised in AIG, Treacy will focus on natural resources, in particular the global metal and mining client base.
Steven Drake is appointed co-head of the All Industries Group alongside Treacy. Drake will continue to focus on chemicals and diversified industrials.
