PIMCO has appointed Eric J. Mogelof as head of Asia-Pacific. A managing director, he will have management oversight responsibility for the firm's business in the region, including its Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo offices. He will report to Douglas Hodge, managing director and chief executive officer. Mogelof will continue to serve as a member of PIMCO's executive committee, the governing body that sets policy and strategic direction for the firm.

Mogelof joined PIMCO in 2003, and has demonstrated leadership across several key areas of the firm. Previously, he was head of Americas institutional business and global head of PIMCO advisory. Mogelof will relocate from New York to Hong Kong in August 2014.
