BNP Paribas and Societe Generale romped away with major awards for derivatives during The Asset Triple A Private Banking, Wealth Management and Investment Awards 2014. The derivatives winners were cited during the Oscar-style ceremonies and gala dinner held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong on September 11.
BNP Paribas was recognized as Derivatives House of the Year, the seventh year in a row it has earned this accolade. The bank also went home with two major awards: Best Rates Derivatives House, which it has won for the sixth straight year, as well as Best FX Derivatives House.
Societe Generale was another big winner with three awards: Best Structured Product House; Best Credit Derivatives House and Best Commodities Derivatives House, which it has won for the second consecutive year.
The other major winners in last night’s event:
- Credit Suisse, Best Equity Derivatives House
- Barclays, Best Alpha Index Provider, a new award category
- FTSE, Best Beta Index Provider
