PineBridge Japan names deputy president and board director
Kikuo Shirose has joined PineBridge Investments as deputy president and board director of Japan from October 1 2014. Based in Tokyo, he will report to Kazuya Sugiura, president and CEO of PineBridge Investments Japan

Kikuo Shirose has joined PineBridge Investments as deputy president and board director of Japan from October 1 2014. Based in Tokyo, he will report to Kazuya Sugiura, president and CEO of PineBridge Investments Japan, and to Rajeev Mittal, CEO of PineBridge Investments Asia. In this newly created role, Shirose will lead and develop PineBridge's institutional business in Japan to enhance and grow client relationships.

 

Shirose has more than 25 years of industry experience. He was previously with Fortress Investment Group GK (Fortress), where he was managing director and head of capital formation and investor relations since 2010. At Fortress, he built and led the Japan institutional sales and client service team. Prior to that, he spent three years at Nikko Asset Management as head of institutional business. Before that, he had worked for UBS Global Asset Management for seven years, first as director for business development and then as executive officer and head of institutions marketing. Shirose started his career at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi Group.

 

Shirose graduated from Kyoto University with a bachelor of arts in law. He is also a CFA charterholder.
