BoAML names head of Hong Kong and Taiwan corporate banking
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired Yuet Ming Chan to take up the role of managing director and head of bank’s corporate banking in Hong Kong and Taiwan. In this role, she will assume overall coverage for all corporate banking activities in these two important markets, effective September 18

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has hired Yuet Ming Chan to take up the role of managing director and head of bank's corporate banking in Hong Kong and Taiwan. In this role, she will assume overall coverage for all corporate banking activities in these two important markets, effective September 18, according to an internal memo seen by The Asset. She will report directly to Steven Victorin, the bank's head of Asia-Pacific corporate and global banking subsidiaries. She will join the regional corporate banking leadership team.

 

Chan will assume management responsibility for the Hong Kong and Taiwan corporate banking teams. Wayne Liaw, head of corporate banking and country executive for Taiwan, will report to Chan in his corporate banking capacity.

 

Chan brings with her more than 30 years of financial services experience, spanning executive roles in corporate banking, structured finance and finance institutions coverage in Hong Kong and Greater China. She joins from Standard Chartered in Hong Kong where she was most recently managing director, head of global corporates for Hong Kong.

 

She holds a bachelor of social science degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
