Standard Chartered has appointed Marie Hong as an executive director for its global treasury solutions unit within its transaction banking business. Her appointment follows that of Jasmine Tan and Viplav Rathore in similar roles. They all report to Victor Penna, head of treasury solutions, transaction banking.
Based in Hong Kong, Hong joins Standard Chartered from Cigna Insurance, where she was the regional treasurer. prior to that, she held senior treasury roles with Avon in the US. In her new role, she will support Standard Chartered’s non-bank financial institution clients in optimizing their treasury and cash management functions in Asia.
Tan, also based in Hong Kong, joined Standard Chartered from PwC in December with 13 years of experience in professional services and treasury advisory. She will focus on regional treasury centres in Hong Kong.
Rathore is based with London, and responsible for covering European-based clients. He joined the bank in November, bringing with him over 16 years of banking and treasury experience. He was a senior treasury director at GE Treasury prior to joining Standard Chartered.
