Citi has appointed Catherine Cai as managing director, chairman and head of China investment banking. She will report to Mark Slaughter, head of corporate and investment banking for Citi in Asia-Pacific.
Cai will oversee Citi’s China Investment banking team and continue the strong partnership between China investment banking and industry coverage, M&A and capital markets origination teams.
She has over 20 years of experience in China investment banking. She joins after 10-years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she was most recently chairman of China investment banking.
