Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, the member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Singapore, has further strengthened its corporate and M&A offering with the appointment of Min-tze Lean as principal. He joined the Firm on 2 April 2015 from Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC.

Lean has more than 17 years of experience, and advises on M&As, joint ventures, corporate advisory and  compliance work, insolvency and restructuring, employment, and competition law. He has a solid track record of advising on public company takeovers and represents SGX-listed companies in their acquisitions and disposals of assets, as well as placements and reverse takeovers.

Lean has acted on some of the largest and most complex M&A transactions in the Singapore market, including significant contested takeovers. In his insolvency and restructuring work, he advises on distressed
asset sales and sale processes, as well as the corporate aspects of debt restructuring exercises and investment recovery situations. Min-tze also represents private equity and strategic acquirers of businesses
and assets in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, as part of his corporate/commercial practice.

Commenting on his arrival, Andy Leck, Managing Principal of Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, said: "We are delighted to welcome Min-tze to the Firm. His addition is a great asset to our corporate practice. It also reflects our firm's commitment to expand our offering to assist our clients in increasingly complex deals. As Singapore bolsters its status as a key financial centre, we are in an excellent position to help our clients leverage opportunities and navigate challenges."

Lean's hire follows the appointment of Chen Yih Pong as principal to the Firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group last October. Chen Yih expands the group's capital markets offering, bringing with him 12
years of experience in capital market transactions such as initial public offerings, share placements, rights issue, and other transactional and advisory matters involving listed companies.
