BTMU strengthens global corporate banking team
The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), the banking entity of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), announced the appointment of Peter Heidinger, as co-head of Corporate Banking, Asia & Oceania effective June 1 2015

The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), the  banking entity of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG),  announced the  appointment of Peter Heidinger, as co-head of Corporate Banking, Asia & Oceania effective June 1 2015.

 

Heidinger is a seasoned corporate banker with more than 25 years of experience in corporate banking split across North America, Europe and for the past 11 years. Prior to joining BTMU, Heidinger was global head of Financial Institutions and  Public Sector at Standard Chartered Bank. Heidinger will work closely with Naoki Isetani, head of Corporate Banking, Asia & Oceania. Going forward, they will both jointly set and implement the strategic direction for BTMU’s global corporate banking business across 12 markets within the Asia and Oceania region.

 
In addition to Heidinger's appointment, BTMU has also appointed Frederic Cabay as head of Financial Institutions, Asia & Oceania. Cabay is an experienced banker with 18 years of banking experience including over eight years working in Singapore with JP Morgan and ING. Cabay has extensive experience in building financial institutions sales teams for global banks. He joined BTMU on April 27 2015.
 
Both appointments are part of BTMU’s overall strategic intent to leverage on senior and international banking talent to further spur the growth of its global corporate banking business.
