HSBC names global co-heads of DCM
HSBC has appointed Alexi Chan and Jean-Marc Mercier as global co-heads of debt capital markets (DCM), effective immediately. In their new roles, Chan and Mercier will succeed Bryan Pascoe, who is moving to become HSBC group treasurer, effective May 5. Chan will remain based in Hong Kong and Mercier will continue to be based in London, and both will report to Spencer Lake, global head of capital financing

HSBC has appointed Alexi Chan and Jean-Marc Mercier as global co-heads of debt capital markets (DCM), effective immediately.  In their new roles, Chan and Mercier will succeed Bryan Pascoe, who is moving to become HSBC group treasurer, effective May 5. Chan will remain based in Hong Kong and Mercier will continue to be based in London, and both will report to Spencer Lake, global head of capital financing.

Chan has been head of DCM for Asia-Pacific since 2013. In addition to his new role, he will retain his current position as head of DCM for Asia-Pacific. Mercier has been global head of debt syndicate since 2010.
