HSBC appoints regional head of large corporates, commercial banking, Asia Pacific
Matthew Kirkby has been appointed as Regional Head of Large Corporates for HSBC's Commercial Banking (CMB) business in Asia Pacific (ASP), with effect from 6 July 2015.

HSBC has appointed Matthew Kirkby as regional head of Large Corporates for HSBC's Commercial Banking (CMB) business in Asia Pacific, with effect from July 6 2015.

In his new role, Kirby will drive HSBC's Large Corporate business segment in Asia Pacific and lead business development efforts across the region. Based in Hong Kong, Kirby will report to Noel Quinn, regional head of CMB ASP and Joel Van Dusen, global head of Large Corporates for CMB.

"Matthew brings a wealth of commercial and investment banking experience to his new role. He will be responsible for driving our Large Corporate business in partnership with HSBC's market leading product partners and business lines. His expertise will ensure we continue to strengthen our relationships with our Commercial Banking client base across the region," Quinn says.

Kirby is currently co-head of Investment Banking & CEO, North Asia, for CIMB. He previously led the Global Banking and Corporate Finance business for ABN AMRO/RBS in Asia Pacific.
