Financial services provider TIAA-CREF announced that it has completed its acquisition of the remaining ownership interest in TH Real Estate from its joint venture partner, Henderson Global Investors for £80 million.

The completion of the acquisition gives TIAA-CREF full ownership of the company, in which it previously held a 60% stake.

TH Real Estate, a global real estate investment management company with approximately $26 billion in assets under management, will operate as a stand-alone subsidiary within TIAA-CREF’s Asset Management multi-boutique platform. The firm will continue to pursue investment opportunities in all major sectors of commercial real estate and will have independent executive leadership and investment teams.

TIAA-CREF’s global real estate platform manages over $82 billion in real estate assets as of March 31 2015, and has deep expertise across the office, retail, industrial and multi-family sectors.
