Nomura names new managing director for Asia ex-Japan
Nomura has appointed Lindsay Chu as managing director and head of financial sponsors for Asia ex-Japan.

Nomura has appointed Lindsay Chu as managing director and head of financial sponsors for Asia ex-Japan.

 

Chu joined Nomura from HSBC Hong Kong where he served as managing director and head of financial sponsors, Asia-Pacific. He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Mark Williams, head of investment banking for Asia ex-Japan.

 

Chu has spent over 15 years in the investment banking business in both New York and Hong Kong and has previously worked for J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch also with their respective Financial Sponsors Groups.

 

Lindsay has demonstrated successful leadership of the Sponsors business for HSBC and was instrumental in originating and executing various M&A advisory and debt financing transactions.
