Citi Indonesia has unveiled three new smart banking branches in Jakarta located in Kelapa Gading, Prince Center Building and in APOL Building Abdul Muis, Central Jakarta.

Strategically located in business, trade and affluent residential areas, the branches offer clients a new experience in banking with intuitive touch screens and high definition media walls. Smart banking is a revolutionary banking experience, launched first by Citi in Asia in 2009, designed to attract, engage and connect clients with products and services, all on demand.

Citi has over 150 smart banking branches in Asia out of a total of around 500 branches. Citi, which operates consumer banking services in over 100 cities in Asia, plans to upgrade more conventional branches to smart banking branches and open new branches across the region to support its growing consumer franchise that contributed half of Citi Asia’s US$14bn in revenues in 2014.

"Citi is proud to contribute to the advancement of banking in Indonesia. These smart branches showcase Citi’s technological innovation which offers enhanced customer experience and is in line with our aim of being the premier digital bank. This investment underlines Citi's continued commitment to support our clients in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the bank's most important markets globally," says Citi’s head of Asean, Michael Zink during the opening ceremony at the APOL Building.

Newly appointed chief executive officer, Citi Indonesia, Batara Sianturi says, "Indonesian customers are increasingly demanding more advanced banking solutions to support their growing needs. These new innovative branches will provide the latest banking technology to meet our customers banking needs."

Each Citi smart branch comes with a Citi Workbench which features the latest flat screen technology to allow customers to perform various banking transactions.
