Barclays has appointed Victor Wang as director, head of China financials research and China equity strategy. 

 

Wang will be responsible for leading the China financials research team which provides Barclays’ clients with investment recommendations and valuation perspectives on China’s financial institutions and banking industry, based on fundamental thematic analysis.

 

In addition, Wang will also create and expand the firm’s equity strategy product in China.

 

He will report to Bhavtosh Vajpayee, managing director, head of equity research- Asia ex-Japan. Wang joins Barclays from Credit Suisse, where he was director, head of China banks research.

 

Prior to that, he held senior research positions at Macquarie and UBS. He holds master degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing.
