East Capital has announced the expansion of its investment management team with the appointment of Francois Perrin as portfolio manager for Greater China markets.
He will be based in Hong Kong. Working alongside portfolio manager Dmitriy Vlasov and a team of analysts, Perrin will support the wider research capabilities of the team in Asia. He will also support further integration of the firm’s sustainable investment approach across all of East Capital’s public equity strategies. Perrin will report to Adrian Pop, head of Asia at East Capital.
Perrin has more than 15 years of experience in international financial markets and has been involved in the development of the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) market and sustainability innovation since its very early stages. In addition, he has considerable expertise in the management of clean technologies and environmental funds.
He joins East Capital from BNP Paribas Investment Partners Asia, where he was most recently head of Greater China equities and prior to that head of Asian SRI market and sustainability innovation since its very early stages. In addition, he has considerable expertise in the management of clean technologies and environmental funds.
Previously, he worked at Fortis Investments in Frankfurt, focusing on European SRI, global and emerging thematic fund management, and Lombard Odier Darier Hentch & Co in Geneva, where he developed SRI research and managed global SRI funds. Perrin commenced his career at KPMG and Suez.
