Bank J. Safra Sarasin hires managing director in Singapore
Jeffrey M. Benjamin has joined Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Singapore as managing director, client advisory. With almost 20 years of private banking experience, he reports to Eric Morin, chief executive officer, Singapore branch and Southeast Asia.

Jeffrey M. Benjamin has joined Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Singapore as managing director, client advisory. With almost 20 years of private banking experience, he reports to Eric Morin, chief executive officer, Singapore branch and Southeast Asia.
 
Benjamin joins Bank J. Safra Sarasin from HSBC Private Bank (Suisse), Singapore, where he was a managing director and team head of international private wealth from early 2011. He joined HSBC from Investec Bank in London, where he was head of specialized opportunities, wealth management, focussing on sophisticated structured solutions across asset classes, co-investment opportunities and proprietary structures for ultra high net worth clients. He worked with Investec from 1999 to 2010.
 

Prior to joining Investec, Benjamin worked at Merrill Lynch in the international private banking group in Singapore from 1996 to 1999. He joined Merrill Lynch from Credit Suisse international private banking in Singapore, where he began his private banking career in 1995. A Singaporean, Benjamin received a bachelor of laws at the University of London, Queen Mary and Westfield College. He graduated from the Bar Professional Training Course at the BPP Law School in London in 1994.
