UBS has named Khôi Le Binh as managing director and head of global markets financing risk for the Asia-Pacific region, tasked with driving risk strategy and methodology globally and improving the management of client risk in partnership with teams in London and New York.
He will be based in Hong Kong and report to both Tim Wannenmacher, head of financing and co-head of distribution, global markets, Asia-Pacific, and to Ashley McLucas, global head of financing risk.
Le Binh has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. He joins UBS from Point72 where he was head of risk for APAC. Before that, he launched and led Deutsche Bank’s Asia quantitative strategy team, and co-headed the APAC equity strategy team.
Le Binh will be instrumental in delivering the global product and client agenda for UBS and, in particular, enhancing the bank’s risk management capabilities into a cross-product risk advisory function for major clients. He will also work closely with the quant analytics teams to maximize the use of data science and technology in expanding the bank's risk framework and client offering.
