HSBC appoints Hong Kong head of wealth and personal banking

HSBC has appointed Maggie Ng as the head of wealth and personal banking (WPB) in Hong Kong, effective December 1 2020. She will be responsible for driving the growth agenda for HSBC’s most valuable WPB business. 

Ng, who has over 20 years' experience in the finance industry, joins the bank from online trading provider IG Group, where she is currently the chief executive officer for Greater China. Prior to that, Ng co-founded Assured Asset Management, a fintech wealth and asset management company, which was was recognised in 2019 as the “Editors’ Triple Star” by The Asset magazine.
