The Asset 12 Jan 2021

Singapore-based investment management firm Maitri Asset Management has appointed Lawrence Lua to its advisory board to advise the firm across its portfolio and operations, including providing strategic direction to the business, advising on regulatory matters and enhancing the firm’s investing and growth strategies.

Lua brings more than 35 years of banking, management and advisory experience across major banks in Asia. He joined DBS Private Bank in 2011 and stepped down as its managing director and global head in December 2019 to assume the role of senior advisor to the bank. Prior to joining DBS, Lua held senior private banking positions at global banks Julius Baer, Merrill Lynch and Citibank.

“Lua’s vast experience in driving successful private banking and wealth strategies will be invaluable as we continue to grow our portfolio to bring offerings to family offices, institutional and high-net-worth investors in the region and globally,” says Manish Tibrewal, Maitri’s CEO.
