Citi has appointed James Lloyd as Asia-Pacific head of Spring by Citi, the digital consumer payments solution for corporate and institutional clients under the bank’s treasury and trade solutions (TTS) business.
Based in Hong Kong, Lloyd joins Citi from EY where he was a partner within the strategy and transactions practice. He led EY’s dedicated fintech capability across Asia-Pacific and served as regional leader of the firm’s global payments practice.
In his new role, Lloyd will be responsible for driving the development, launch and commercialization of Spring by Citi in Asia-Pacific. He will report to Sanjeev Jain, Asia-Pacific head of payments & receivables, TTS, and Anupam Sinha, global head of domestic payments & receivables, TTS.
Spring by Citi enables clients to offer their end-consumers the flexibility to make digital payments using their preferred mode of payment including credit card, instant payments as well as digital wallets.
