With a goal to reshape a decades old trade finance process, global mining company Vale, working with Standard Chartered had a bold vision in mind.
That vision involved using emerging technologies such as blockchain to enable an end-to-end digital trade finance transaction that underpinned the sale of a cargo of 170,000 tonnes of Brazilian Blend Fines iron ore from Teluk Rubiah Maritime Terminal in Malaysia to Nanjing Iron & Stell Group International Trade in China.
