HSBC wins Best Asset Servicing Award in highly challenging year
Digital and client servicing capabilities shine amidst pandemic-related disruptions

In a year of extraordinary changes, the best asset service providers lived up to the challenge by supporting their clients through the market volatility and supply chain disruptions brought on by the pandemic. HSBC Securities Services wins “The Asset Triple A Best in Asset Servicing Award 2021” based on its overall performance during the year highlighted by the shift to the work-from-home environment for the financial services industry.

This is the first time HSBC HSS has won this award since 2015, with its digital and client servicing capabilities shining through the gloom of the crisis.

HSBC also wins “The Asset Triple A Best Subcustodian-Overall Award 2021” for showcasing its strengths in key markets such as China and the Middle East.

And for dominating servicing of mutual funds, HSBC also wins “The Triple A Best Fund Administrator-Retail funds Awards 2021”.

Standard Chartered wins “The Asset Triple A Best Custodian-Overall Award 2021” based on its strong performance in custody across-the-board. Standard Chartered also wins “The Asset Triple A Best Subcustodian-Global Award 2021” after securing a much-coveted custody mandate.

Citi wins “The Asset Triple A Best Global Custodian, Asia-based Clients Award 2021” for the strength of its FX product offerings to asset owners in the region.

BNY Mellon wins “The Asset Triple A Best Global Custodian, International clients Award 2021” for leveraging its strong digital capabilities to service global clients.

BNY Mellon also wins “The Asset Triple A Best in Collateral Management Award 2021” for paving the way for Chinese sovereign bonds to be issued as collateral for tri-party transactions globally.

State Street wins the “The Asset Triple A Best in Securities Lending Award 2021” as it continues to dominate the securities lending market amid the pandemic.

Showcasing its strength in servicing the demands of broker-dealer clients, BNP Paribas Securities Services wins “The Asset Triple A Best Subcustodian, Broker-dealer Award 2021”.

BNP Paribas Securities Services also wins “The Asset Triple A Best Fund Administrator-Alternatives for its exemplary performance in servicing funds for alternative asset classes.

Deutsche Bank wins “The Best Domestic Custodian, overall Award 2021” reflecting its exceptional strength as a domestic custodian in multiple markets.
