BOC Aviation ends 2021 with fleet of 521 aircraft
Aircraft leasing firm reports robust performance despite challenging environment
Michael Marray 19 Jan 2022

BOC Aviation took delivery of 52 aircraft and sold 26 owned and managed aircraft in 2021, ending the year with a total fleet of 521 aircraft.

“We are pleased to achieve a robust performance in 2021 in a challenging operating environment,“ says Robert Martin, managing director and chief executive officer. Looking ahead, the portfolio positions the company well to serve the growth and replacement requirements of its airline customers, he adds.

BOC Aviation took delivery of nine aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2021, and 52 in total in 2021. It signed 21 lease commitments in the fourth quarter of 2021, bringing the total to 74 for the entire year.

On December 28 the company announced that it has delivered the last of eight Airbus A320neo aircraft to InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) under a purchase-and-leaseback agreement signed earlier in the year. The aircraft will be powered by CFM Leap engines. IndiGo is India’s largest passenger airline. BOC Aviation is headquartered in Singapore and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
