Credit Suisse Australia has named Adam Reid as its managing director for investment banking and capital markets (IBCM) and its head of metals and mining for Australia.

Reid is a highly regarded senior banker in the resources sector with deep client relationships and over 21 years’ experience across corporate finance, capital markets, and merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions.

He joins from RBC Capital where he was a managing director and led the global mining and metals group in Australia.

Since 2021, Reid has advised on over US$5 billion in major M&A and equity capital market transactions, including the acquisitions by Newcrest of Pretivm Resources and facilities associated with the Fruta del Norte mine, by Evolution of the Ernest Henry Mine and by Silver Lake of Harte Gold.

Dragi Ristevski, co-head of IBCM Australia, Credit Suisse, says: “Reid’s appointment underscores our commitment to ensuring we have the best senior talent across the IBCM coverage team and positions us well to grow our metals and mining coverage in Australia.”
