SocGen bolsters APAC natural resources, infrastructure division
Lan Yang leads regional team, Stephen Krust heads energy group

Société Générale has announced new appointments within its natural resources and infrastructure division in Asia-Pacific.

Lan Yang is the new head of natural resources & infrastructure for the region. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to Stephanie Clement de Givry, head of global banking & advisory for Asia-Pacific, and Federico Turegano, global head of natural resources & infrastructure.

Stephen Krust is the new head of the energy group for the region. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Yang and global head of energy Olivier Musset.

Marie Vinnell has been appointed head of natural resources & infrastructure for Australia, in addition to her current role as head of infrastructure in Asia-Pacific and Australia. She reports to Yang and country head of Australia Pascal Sefrin.

In her new role, Yang will continue to develop the Asia-Pacific franchise of the bank’s natural resources & infrastructure business, leading the activities of the energy group, the infrastructure group, the mining, metals and industries group, and the trade & commodity finance group.

Yang was previously co-head of mining, metals and industries finance for Asia-Pacific since 2017, contributing to the shift in business focus towards sustainability and energy transition. She has extensive experience in the commodities sector and contributed to the development of the natural resources franchise since 2004, through transactions executed in Europe, Russia & Commonwealth of Independent States, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Yang has 21 years of experience at Société Générale, of which she devoted 17 years in the natural resources sector.

Krust is responsible for the energy group, covering power and energy-related advisories and financings throughout Asia-Pacific, heading teams based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. He will lead the energy group in supporting the energy transition of clients in the region.
