Citi Global Wealth has appointed C.R. Sambamurthy as Asia head of Citigold and Citigold Private Client, effective August 1. Citigold and Citigold Private Client serve the bank’s affluent and high-net-worth clients in the region.
Returning from a sabbatical, Sambamurthy was most recently the head of international personal banking.
Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for advancing the bank’s client, commercial and talent strategies in Asia for Citigold and Citigold Private Client, while also delivering on the bank’s regional profit and loss metrics.
He reports to Fabio Fontainha, global head of Citigold and Citigold Private Client, and Angel Ng, Asia head of Citi Global Wealth.
Sambamurthy is a 34-year Citi veteran with significant experience in cross-border wealth management and has managed complex, multi-jurisdictional businesses across Asia and Europe.
