DLA Piper beefs up Southeast Asia team
Waranon Vanichprapa named sole country managing partner in Bangkok
The Asset 20 Mar 2023

Global law firm DLA Piper has appointed Waranon Vanichprapa as sole country managing partner in Bangkok, effective immediately, in a move aimed at further strengthening its Southeast Asia footprint.

Vanichprapa has more than 20 years’ experience in helping financial institutions and multinational corporations with complex financing and restructuring transactions, financing regulatory matters, bankruptcy, M&A and commercial law issues. He has been an integral part of steering the business in Thailand over the past two years alongside Timothy Tan as co-country managing partner.

Commenting on the hire, Satpal Gobindpuri, regional managing partner in Asia, says: “Southeast Asia is a major hub of economic growth and innovation, with Thailand being a key centre for projects and investments. With Waranon’s strong network and excellent track record, we are confident that this move will add further value to clients in the region and will help extend our Southeast Asia footprint.”
