DHL Global Forwarding has launched the first regular service connecting Shenzhen to Minsk, Belarus, via rail in less than 12 days. The route covers new overland connections to several major cities along China’s Belt-Road and will transit through the Alashankou-Dostyk rail juncture.
DHL signed an MoU with China Brilliant last year and together they will manage the new route. DHL will offer less-than-container-load and full-container-load services along the route.
“Minsk offers Chinese businesses an efficient gateway into the Baltic States and Nordic countries in addition to other major European destinations like Warsaw, Hamburg, and Tilburg via Brest,” says Steve Huang, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding, Greater China.
