Event highlights the opportunities and challenges facing the Southeast Asian nation

The Asset 13th Philippine Forum commences in Manila today, focusing on how one of the fastest growing economies in Asia is continuing to develop. The government in particular has been using public expenditure to unlock the country's full potential and improve its attractiveness to foreign investors with an aim to sustain growth.

From green finance to financial technology the forum will cover a number of timely topics facing the Philippine economy. In addition to insightful panels and in-depth conversations, the event will also feature several keynote speakers from the public sector, including: Nestor Espenilla Jr, governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas; Ephyro Luis Amatong, commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission; and Roel Refran, chief operating officer of the Philippine Stock Exchange.
