Tencent Cloud, Posify launch eShop solution for Hong Kong SMEs
One-stop platform aims to support small merchants seeking to tap opportunities in Greater Bay Area
The Asset 3 Aug 2021

Tencent Cloud has collaborated with Posify, an online-to-offline (O2O) and e-commerce platform, to launch a new eShop solution for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong, supporting them in their digitalization efforts and enabling them to harness the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.

The new eShop solution adds a Weixin Mini Program to Posify’s HTML 5 mobile, desktop and app versions.

Tencent Cloud says its advanced cloud technology, paired with Weixin’s ability to reach and connect with users as well as its knowledge of the China market and Chinese consumers’ preferences, will boost Posify’s O2O and e-commerce capabilities, providing users with a one-stop content management system for the creation of eShops.

To amplify their businesses amid the pandemic and beyond, SMEs can now efficiently leverage Weixin Mini Programs for local shoppers, including those using their consumption vouchers from the Hong Kong SAR government, Tencent Cloud says. Besides, the Weixin Mini Program offers an effective channel for SMEs to reach out to more consumers in the Greater Bay Area.

Posify, with its expertise and experience from working with key clients such as Adastria (mother company of Global Work. niko and..., Lowrys Farm and other brands), Hallmark Hong Kong, Paul & Joe, and GroupBuyer, among others, gives local SMEs the ability to set their pricing and publish their products through the new eShop solution.

The platform also allows consumers to enjoy offers provided by WeChat Pay HK, such as daily lucky draws, double-up rewards and dedicated merchant coupons, when they spend on the Weixin Mini Program.

Norman Tam, vice president of Tencent Cloud International, says: “In line with Tencent Cloud’s commitment to supporting SMEs in embracing digitalization, as well as our goal to widen their business horizons by reaching the GBA market through Weixin’s ability to reach and connect with users, we look forward to our collaboration with Posify, which will boost the efficiency and security of its services through the launch of a new eShop solution powered by our high-quality and ultra-reliable technology.”
