Credit Suisse has announced two senior appointments in investment banking and capital markets (IBCM) and equities franchises in Australia.
Karla Wynne has been promoted to head of consumer, retail & healthcare, IBCM, while Tim Usasz has been promoted to head of equity syndicate, both in Australia.
Wynne joined Credit Suisse in November 2021 as a director in the general industrials team, focused on consumer, retail & healthcare coverage. Since joining the firm, she has led the origination and execution of some of key assignments in the sector as well as broader industrials.
With over 20 years of investment banking and corporate experience, Wynne was head of strategy, M&A and investor relations at ASX200-listed Viva Energy prior to joining Credit Suisse last year. Before that, she spent more than seven years as head of ECM at Merrill Lynch.
Usasz, meanwhile, has over 14 years banking and corporate finance experience. He joined Credit Suisse in 2015 as a member of the equity sales team in Hong Kong, before transferring to Australia in 2019 as an equity syndicate specialist.
Together with the bank’s ECM team and alongside ECM director Stephen Friesenecker, Usasz played senior roles in numerous initial public offerings.
