Deutsche Bank is set to open a representative office in Dhaka, Bangladesh, expanding its footprint in Asia-Pacific to 15 markets.
It has hired Syed Naushad Zaman, previously deputy head of the Commerzbank representative office in Bangladesh, to lead its operations in the country.
Germany is the largest trading partner of Bangladesh in Europe and the second largest globally. German exports to the South Asian country have tripled in the past 25 years.
