Citi has announced key appointments in its markets and treasury and trade solutions (TTS) business while reiterating its commitment to supporting corporates in Asean on their regional and global ambitions.

Vandana Bhatter has been appointed head of markets for Asean, effective immediately. She will report to Julia Raiskin, Asia-Pacific head of markets, and Amol Gupte, head of South Asia and Asean.

Anoushka Dua has been named head of TTS for Asean, effective immediately. She will report to Rajesh Mehta, head of TTS Asia-Pacific, and Amol Gupte, head of South Asia and Asean.

Bhatter will be responsible for leading and driving a fully integrated business strategy, monetizing Citi’s local market network and strengthening connectivity both within Asia markets, and with the other institutional client group businesses, leveraging the bank’s global footprint and comprehensive product offering.

She will retain her existing responsibilities as Asean corporate sales and solutions (CSS) head for markets and will continue to report to Gunjan Kalra, head of corporate and public sector sales and solutions, markets, Asia-Pacific.

Bhatter first joined Citi in India as a markets management associate in 2001. After stints with the Singapore FX options structuring team and Citi Korea Markets team, she returned to India to run the CSS India solutions business, focusing on Citi commercial bank (CCB) clients. In 2009 she moved to Singapore to manage the investor FX business and currently runs Asean CSS.

Dua, in her most recent role as head of trade for Asean, was responsible for leading the continued growth of the business, delivering innovative working capital solutions to meet the rapidly evolving needs of clients, focusing on digitizing the business and maintaining a robust risk and control environment.

Her leadership has been instrumental in transforming the trade business in Asean by building and commercializing structured trade capabilities and amplifying client engagement on working capital solutions.

She started her banking career with Citi in 2002 as a management associate in India.  She has held several country and regional roles across banking and trade including sales, structuring and product management in India, Hong Kong and Singapore.
