UBS names APAC head of execution and clearing services
Victor Guzak will be part of UBS' Investor Client Services and brings over 20 years of experience in the futures business
The Asset 7 Aug 2019

UBS has announced the appointment of Victor Gusak as Investor Client Services (ICS) head of execution and clearing services for Asia-Pacific. He brings over 20 years of experience in the futures business having previously worked in various sales roles within execution and clearing at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

In a memo distributed on August 5 and seen by The Asset, UBS says its execution and clearing services business is a key part of its ICS franchise, and the bank continues to invest in its build out. It is eyeing the opportunities arising from the favourably changing market environment and the further opening of regional markets, in particular China.

The regional execution and sales teams will report to Gusak in addition to their respective local or product lines. Gusak will join the global execution and clearing services, and the Asia-Pacific global financing services management committees. He will report to both Tim Wannenmacher, head of global financing services for Asia-Pacific, and to Federica Mazzucato, head of global execution and clearing services in his product and regional capacity.
