SINGAPORE - The Asset hosts its 2nd ETF Asia Summit in Singapore today. Under the heading “Gaining Momentum”, the one day event brings together providers of exchange traded funds (ETFs), investors, market makers and distributors from Asia.
ETFs have experienced more than a decade of relentless growth in popularity, number of products, their variety and assets. They now account for more than US$3.2 trillion of global assets under management. The Asset’s annual ETF Asia Summit to be held at the Conrad Centennial Singapore aims to cast light on the current trends in ETFs and challenges their providers encounter in the region.
The series of seven panel discussions and conversations will address among other topics, new regulatory developments, product innovation, liquidity, cross-border schemes, and choosing ETFs for investment portfolios.
Key speakers at the event include Chew Sutat, executive vice-president, head of equities and fixed income at Singapore Exchange, Anita Mo, head of business development, China Exchanges Services Company, Sudir Raju, managing director, exchange traded products, Asia at FTSE Russell and Thomas Meyer zu Drewer, managing director, global head of Comstage ETFs at Commerzbank.
