AXA IM expands fixed income team in Asia
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has named Honyu Fung as senior portfolio manager and Jason Pang as portfolio manager within its Asian fixed income team. Based in Hong Kong, they will report to Jim Veneau, head of fixed income Asia.

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has named Honyu Fung as senior portfolio manager and Jason Pang as portfolio manager within its Asian fixed income team. Based in Hong Kong, they will report to Jim Veneau, head of fixed income Asia.

 

Fung is responsible for managing key client portfolios and providing credit sector coverage. Prior to joining AXA IM, he spent more than 11 years at HSBC Global Asset Management where he held the role of associate director for Hong Kong overseeing Asian fixed income mandates. Fung holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Toronto, an MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, and is a CFA charter member.

 

Pang will be responsible for managing fixed income portfolios and providing bottom up credit analysis on Asian fixed income issuers. Prior to joining AXA IM, he was a senior Asian fixed income investment manager at HSBC Global Asset Management in Hong Kong. He also spent time within the wealth management distribution team at UBS Global Asset Management in Hong Kong, where he was promoted to the position of portfolio Asian fixed income manager in 2010. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Toronto.
