BNP Paribas Wealth Management has named Clarence T'ao as head of emerging Asian markets. Based in Hong Kong, this new position aims to create an in-depth focus on the unique needs of developing Asian markets.

Before taking up this role, T'ao had been the CEO of BNP Paribas (China) since 2010. He is a veteran of the bank, having assumed senior roles as regional head of loan syndication Asia-Pacific and co-regional head of structured finance in Asia. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was with Citicorp International and The Chase Manhattan Bank.
