The Prudential Assurance Company Limited Hong Kong branch has launched the city’s first actuarial scholarship programme to support its undergraduates in actuarial science as part of the firm's commitment to contribute to the insurance industry’s professional development.

The scholarship aims to recognize the outstanding performance of talented students on Prudential Hong Kong’s six-month internship programme which was introduced in 2008.

The first scholarship of HKD50,000 under the actuarial scholarship programme was awarded to Elsa Ko, a second-year student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong who demonstrated a high understanding of the financial services industry during her internship with Prudential Hong Kong.
