Eng-Kwok Seat Moey, DBS Bank deputy head of capital markets, will succeed succeeding Eric Ang as head of capital markets effective June 1.
While Ang will step down as capital markets head, he will stay on as senior executive advisor and will be principally responsible for business origination and high level relationship building for the bank. In addition, he will also join the board of the DBS Foundation, which was set up earlier this year to strengthen DBS' CSR efforts. Ang will report to CEO Piyush Gupta, and will be a standing invitee to the group management committee (GMC).
Eng-Kwok has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets advisory and funds management, and is an industry leader and Reit pioneer in her own right. Over the past year, she has initiated in integrating the equity capital markets and asset backed structured products parts of DBS' capital markets business. In her new role, she will be a member of the GMC and report to Gupta.
Ang and his team have pioneered many industry firsts, including being lead manager for the IPO of Singapore Airlines, the first international offering for a locally-incorporated company, managing SingTel's IPO, the biggest in the market at the time, as well as developing and launching Singapore's first Reit. Under his leadership, DBS has had a track record of consistently topping Singapore capital market league tables.
