Equities First Holdings has appointed Gordon Crosbie-Walsh as chief executive officer for Asia with immediate effect. In his new role, Crosbie-Walsh will be tasked with managing the institutional investment company’s operations throughout the region with a focus on business development across Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and China.
Crosbie-Walsh has more than three decades of financial services experience, including chartered accounting, equity research, equity sales and investment banking. Prior to joining EquitiesFirst, he led several investment banking businesses in Asia, including CM Financial and Jefferies Asia, where he was also head of equity capital markets. Prior to Jefferies, he held senior leadership roles at JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Salomon Smith Barney.
EquitiesFirst, wholly owned by American financier and entrepreneur Alexander Christy, Jr., manages over US$1 billion of proprietary capital in a public equities portfolio.
