Natixis names Southeast Asia investment banking head

French investment bank Natixis has appointed Sanjeev Kumar as senior country manager, Singapore, and head of Southeast and South Asia, corporate and investment banking, reporting to Bruno Le Saint, chief executive officer, Asia-Pacific, corporate and investment banking.

Kumar, who will be based in Singapore, has 25 years of banking and finance industry experience across New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore, and has worked for various firms, including Barclays Capital, Citigroup and RBS.

Prior to joining Natixis, Sanjeev was with MUFG in Singapore as head of sector coverage and acquisition finance, Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan).

Le Saint says: “[Kumar’s] experience from first-class investment banks around the world, and his wide-reaching client network, position him well to lead our Singapore and Southeast Asia business and help us to strategically bring our franchise to the next level.”
