RBC GAM hires new director of Asia client coverage
Serene Sun was most recently vice president of client business for BlackRock in Hong Kong

RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) has hired Serene Sun as the director of Asia client coverage. Based in Hong Kong, Sun will report into Mayur Nallamala, senior portfolio manager and head of Asian equities.

Sun will be responsible for the coverage of Asia ex-Japan regional clients, as well as prospective sales and marketing activities for the Asia global asset management team.

Before joining RBC GAM, Sun was most recently vice president of client business for BlackRock in Hong Kong, where she was responsible for business development and relationship management for China institutional distributors after relocating from BlackRock’s Singapore office covering Southeast Asia-based clients. Sun has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Finance and Accounting with honours) from the National University of Singapore.

RBC GAM is the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada with about US$550 billion in assets under management. It includes money managers BlueBay Asset Management and Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management.
