Natixis Investment Managers (Natixis IM) has appointed Gad Amar as the head of distribution for Western Europe, with responsibility for expanding the firm’s footprint in the region while overseeing France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco, francophone Switzerland and Israel.
Amar, who will be based in Paris and report to Joseph Pinto, head of distribution for Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, joined Natixis IM in October 2021 as the international chief product officer.
He has 20 years of experience in sales and development activities in asset management: at JP Morgan AM, he was the head of sales; at BlackRock, the head of wholesale for France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco, head of family offices for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and head of strategic product management for EMEA; and at Edmond de Rothschild, the deputy CEO and global head of business development.
Pinto says: “Amar’s proven experience in business development and sales management across retail, wholesale and institutional client segments, coupled with his strong expertise in product development, will help him to succeed in his new role and achieve our ambitions in the Western Europe region.”
