Amundi strengthens equity set-up
Barry Glavin named equity investment platform head while Vafa Ahmadi expands role to oversee global thematic equity

Amundi has appointed Barry Glavin as head of its equity investment platform. Meanwhile, Vafa Ahmadi, head of thematic equities for CPR Asset Management, will expand his role to oversee global thematic equity for Amundi.

Prior to joining Amundi, Glavin was the chief investment officer of State Street Global Advisors’ fundamental value equities team since 2013. He was previously head of research, fundamental equities.

He joined State Street Global Advisors in 2006 from HSBC Asset Management where he was a portfolio manager, then an equity analyst between 2000 and 2006. He began his career in finance as an exchange-traded derivatives broker.

Glavin is a graduate in politics and philosophy from University College Dublin, and is a CFA charterholder.
