Amundi has launched a fund of funds that invests in global fixed income funds, and is now available to retail investors in Singapore.
The Amundi Asia Funds - All Weather Income Fund, advised by DBS’s discretionary portfolio management team and managed by Amundi, aims to offer investors stable bond returns to weather market cycles in the long run, and to provide them with an additional option to use as a core holding in diversified long-term portfolios.
Income funds present an alternative option for investors looking to diversify their portfolios amid rising geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainties, Amundi says.
Global fixed income portfolios are generally known for their regular returns through interest payments, and are appealing to investors seeking steady income. Professional management offers an additional advantage for individual investors in terms of optimizing returns.
DBS Bank is the fund’s investment adviser, advising on asset allocation and underlying funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to invest in, based on the investment guidelines and restrictions of the fund.
Amundi Singapore Limited is the “sub-investment manager” whose role is to integrate advice from the investment adviser that is aligned with the fund’s investment policies and Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) regulation, ensuring additional portfolio validation.
The fund is available to all DBS and Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) customers with a minimum investment of S$1,000 (US$735). Investors pay a flat annual management fee of 0.57%, and are not subject to a lock-in period or withdrawal penalties.
