China International Fund Management appoints new CEO
Eddy Wong’s priorities will include the ongoing expansion of CIFM’s range of products, spearheading new capabilities and continuing to attract and develop top talent

The board of directors of China International Fund Management (CIFM), a joint venture between Shanghai International Trust Corp., Ltd (SITCO) and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, have appointed Eddy Wong as CEO of CIFM, effective immediately.

Wong succeeds Eddie Chang, who is retiring following a distinguished asset management career, including nearly a decade of leading CIFM.

Wong’s priorities will include the ongoing expansion of CIFM’s range of products, spearheading new capabilities and continuing to attract and develop top talent.

Most recently, Wong served as Chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Taiwan business, based in Taipei, responsible for strategic development and overall management. Prior to that, he was head of Hong Kong & China Funds for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, based in Hong Kong. Wong’s experience spans more than 15 years in financial services, including prior roles at HSBC Global Asset Management Limited, Standard Chartered Bank and Prudential Asset Management.
