Why China, India remain the best growth stories in Asia
The Asset 16 May 2018

China and India are improving stories but there are vulnerabilities in the case of China on leverage and India on fiscal issues, says Elina Ribakova, chief economist for EEMEA, Deutsche Bank during The Asset Investor Dialogue in London.

There are structural changes in both cases that should not to be overlooked. She cites the rebalancing that has happened in China to a large degree with consumption now driving growth.

In India, urbanization and the rise of the middle class are backing optimism toward a higher GDP growth for the country.
