Standard Chartered has appointed of Martijn De Jong as global head, digital channels & data. Effective 2 January, he is based in Singapore and reports to Lisa Robins, global head, transaction banking.

In this role, De Jong will be responsible for driving transaction banking's overall digitization and innovation agenda. He was most recently the chief digital officer and chief marketing officer for the global insurer Aegon, based in Mumbai, and has also held senior roles across various markets with several telcos including Vodafone, where he drove their digital transformation programmes.
